About Providence

Providence Engineering provides Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design and drafting services for new buildings, renovations, and additions. For three decades, we have offered construction means and methods design, construction compliance design, and served as the Engineer of Record for our clients. In that time, we developed a niche expertise in warehouse, food processing and cold storage design.

Empowered Engineering

We strive to create a work place where our client works directly with a fully-empowered project engineer. We believe this level of direct involvement, at all phases of the project—from conceptual planning studies through design and construction administration—empowers our engineers to make timely decisions, resulting in on-time and on-budget results.

In addition to our technical ability, we are highly-equipped engineers who are sympathetic to the aesthetic needs of building design. Our clients have ambitious visions that demand equivalent solutions. We take pride in offering a creative and flexible design approach that helps our client’s vision become reality. This approach, and our legacy of constructible, affordable, and timely results, is why we are the Engineer of Choice.

Employee owned

Providence Engineering is 100% employee owned and operated. Our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) serves as a retirement plan for employees by holding tax-free investments on their behalf. Providence pays all of the contributions to this plan from company profits, and no taxes are due until shares are distributed. Our plan is overseen by a professional ESOP Trustee, Providence’s Board of Directors and administered by a company specializing in ESOP programs.

Qualifications

Our Engineers are licensed to perform work nationally (excluding Alaska).

Education and Training

Long before industry standards required Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) to maintain licensure, Providence Engineering put our Project Engineers and Engineers in Training at the forefront of emerging industry standards through professional development and continuing education.

We’re proud of this history, and we continue to host, as well as present, educational seminars for our employees and associates. Our headquarters in Lancaster includes a training facility for seminars, webinars, and other educational opportunities. We consider it a privilege to share this space with our associates in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
