Gavin has recently joined the Providence family and will be working out of our new Lehigh Valley office. Gavin brings more than 20 years of experience to the Providence team in structural design and construction engineering expertise. He coordinates and manages project teams from concept to closeout including site surveys, cost estimates, technical and contractural specifications, structural design, submittal review, and construction observation. Gavin demonstrates a firm understanding of sound and economical construction practices. His technical expertise encompasses steel, masonry and concrete design including shallow and deep foundation systems. Gavin is also well-versed in the interpretation and use of design codes and standards including the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the International Building Code (IBC), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Gavin also has the OSHA 10 Hour Training Certification.

An experienced master of AutoCAD and Revit, she reviews projects with project managers early in the design process, and develops the most effective procedures for document preparation on each unique project. She works closely with our most senior engineers to develop typical structural details and drawing standards to maintain quality and consistency in our drawings. Gretchen also has many years of experience preparing cold-storage and food processing building details for facilities designed for cooler and freezer temperatures.
