The scope of structural design needs within the world of entertainment is as varied as they come. Providence has designed everything from speaker array supports used in the largest stadiums in the country, to parade floats enjoyed in theme parks to queuing platforms adjacent to roller coasters. We love these types of projects at Providence as they allow us the opportunity to really flex our structural design muscles as we come up with creative solutions to challenges that likely don’t show up in any college text book. Always ready to answer the call to a new design challenge, Providence is ready to truly engineer a solution for your next entertainment project.

"Champion Painting was awarded the contract for Surface Preparation and Coating Application of the Tribeca Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the West Side Highway at Chambers Street in one of the busiest areas of NYC. We knew that this would be a challenging project in all aspects, from protection of traffic and the travelling public to performing the coating application during the coldest months of the year. Champion Painting had utilized the services of Providence Engineering, and specifically Patti Seitz on numerous other projects. For this project, Patti’s design took into account all requirements and criteria. Once the design phase was complete, and while maintaining constant communication with Champion Painting, Patti worked very closely with our steel fabrication shop during the entire process, fielding and answering all questions from the fabricator. As they say, “the proof is in the pudding”, and this turned out to be the perfect dish. This is probably the first job where everything on the drawings matched up perfectly with everything in the field. From the intricate steel cable system to the fabricated outrigger system, a very difficult project was made less so, largely to a design that took into account all of our needs. Great job Patti, and Providence Engineering."
