Bob Desmarais joins Providence’s QA/QC Team

I’m excited to welcome Bob Desmarais back to Providence Engineering!

Bob has re-joined Providence as a part-time member of our Quality Assurance/Quality Control Team. In this role, Bob will help verify that the work products produced by Providence are in accordance with the project scope of work, applicable building codes and our own quality standard of practice.

While serving in this role, Bob also maintains his own firm, RRD PE Corp. Bob’s commitment to his valued client base allows him to operate as a professional peer reviewer who is not directly associated with the subject project.

With more than 30 years of professional design experience (some of them with Providence in the early 2000s), registrations in multiple states and extensive knowledge of construction engineering best practices, Bob is well-suited to this role at Providence. In addition to QA/QC, Bob will leverage his design experience to help mentor our younger staff engineers. He believes that all engineers should develop a strong foundation and work the first year of their careers with only a calc pad and a calculator, preferably an HP11C.

Bob’s range of experience matches the varied markets in which Providence serves. I’m excited to welcome him back to the team.
