Dan Fichtner recently presented at the ABC Keystone Center for Construction Careers in Manheim, PA. Dan’s seminar titled Structural Engineers: Why We Do What We Do provides an overview of the principles used by structural engineers during design, and how those same principles reappear during construction.
By the end of the seminar, everyone in the room was speaking fluently about shear, bending and compression forces on various types of structural members. All in a day’s work.
